PATIENT-CENTERED MEDICAL HOME
One strategic priority at Long Beach Memorial Family Medicine Residency Program is to integrate Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) values into our practice setting. Together with MemorialCare Medical Group, we are preparing to apply for National Committee on Quality Assurance (NCQA) PCMH certification. Our rationale is two-fold: 1) to recruit and train residents whose ethos is to provide high quality, high value patient-centered primary care first and foremost; and 2) to prepare our residents to become modern-day family physicians whose use of information technology will enhance their abilities to provide this type of care for their patients and their communities.
