I joined the faculty in September 2000. I attended medical school at UCLA (go Bruins), then did an OB/GYN internship at Thomas Jefferson in Philadelphia. After discovering I disliked surgery (and cold weather), but loved obstetrics and primary care, I switched to family medicine and graduated from Long Beach Memorial in July, 2000. I also completed a fellowship in faculty development at USC (boo Trojans) after graduation.
My professional interests include maternity care, women's health, sports medicine and office procedures. As a part of the maternity curriculum, I supervise prenatal care and deliveries and meet twice monthly with residents to discuss their continuity OB patients. I am a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, American Medical Assocation and American College of Sports Medicine.
Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, skiing, rollerblading, jogging and mountain biking, and am a huge football fan (go Niners).
