I am working in a group with many other graduates of Long Beach, and currently am working 3/4-time (or, as I like to put it, a full-time practice in 3 days). As a part of my practice I also teach medical students from UC Irvine and mentor a pre-med student.
In my real life, I have two darling daughters, and I'd love to say I actually have some personal activities (like sleep!). In reality, I use my little extra time for exercise, medical reading, or a movie.
Looking back on residency, it was the best time. I still remember patients from Memorial (some followed me into practice). I learned so much in such a short time, and I learned who I was and what kind of doctor I wanted to be.
