After graduation I completed a 2-year MPH/Public Health fellowship, and then spent two years working full-time as a public health physician for the Long Beach Department of Health and Human Services, where my responsibilities included bioterrorism preparedness for the city and HIPAA implementation.
In 2005 I joined several Long Beach Memorial grads in a growing family medicine group in Los Alamitos, and I'm enjoying the return to full-time practice.
My advice to current and future residents is: Do as much as you can to learn as much as you can!
